5. Physical big man

Mainly at the fault of injuries, the Lakers were forced to play Robert Sacre more minutes in one season than he should have seen in his entire career. While I love Sacre and his demeanor (and even contend the Lakers should keep him around), he’s not a good player. The Lakers should look to find either a power forward or center who isn’t afraid to bang bodies down low and bring some high energy when they come on the court.

A player like Trevor Mbakwe fits that mold. While he certainly shouldn’t be option number one for the Lakers, I wouldn’t be upset if they brought him in. He’s fiery competitor with a big body who has the capability for highlight reel players.
