Lakers listening to offers for Pau Gasol

It’s NBA Draft time, which means it’s time for the Lakers to start shopping Pau Gasol around for draft picks. Shockingly, reports didn’t break until Tuesday the Lakers were fielding calls for the Spanish All-Star, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio

"With power forward Pau Gasol on the trading block, the Los Angeles Lakers are another team that has been fielding plenty of calls leading up to the draft. It should be noted the Cavs are said to have no interest in a Gasol deal."

Gasol struggled for the better part of last season before coming on strong late in the year. Nevertheless, his value still remains high as he also has just one season left on his contract at $19.2 million. Even though he’s coming off surgery on both knees, it was a minor surgery and the Spainard is expected to be ready for the start of the season.

In the past, the Timberwolves and Raptors have been rumored to covet the big man’s skills. While no team has been singled out, one has to wonder if either of these teams are in the running. The Lakers have interest in moving into the lottery portion of the draft, and while Toronto doesn’t have a draft pick this year, Minnesota has 9th pick.

With only one day between the Draft and now, this season will solve itself very quickly, and you can be sure to see all the news here on Lake Show Life.
