Kobe Bryant’s rumored rehabilitation from his Achilles has been far ahead of schedule. On Monday, it was revealed a little bit more how far ahead from the man himself.

In his second stop of his China tour, Bryant spoke about his Achilles to reporters, saying the surgery they did was “innovative” and they didn’t know how he’d respond.

"The normal timetable for recovering for an Achilles, we’ve shattered that. Three and a half months, I can already walk just fine. I’m lifting weights for the Achilles just fine."

Bryant said that no one is sure of the timetable for a return at this point. What is certain, however, is that Bryant is way ahead of schedule for any normal athlete, which isn’t surprising considering the Black Mamba’s work ethic.
