Yesterday, SB Nation came out with a list of who they thought would be the top 100 players in 2017 for fun. Out of of the 100 players, only one of them wears the Purple and Gold — Kobe Bryant. Coming in at number 72 is Kobe Bryant, at the age of 39. Kobe came in ahead of Gordon Hayward, Avery Bradley, Kemba Walker, and Iman Shumpert.

I’m a little surprised Kobe was on the list, not because I don’t think he should be, but because I think he will be retired by then. He has stated that he is only go to play a couple more years, so I don’t see him playing until he is 39. Other then that, I wasn’t really shocked to see no other Lakers on the list. Pau Gasol and Steve Nash could both be retired by then, and no other Lakers really stand out.

What do YOU think? Was Kobe ranked too high? Too low? Should any other Lakers be on the list? Let us know in the comments section down below!
