Steve Nash out at least 2 weeks

The injury-riddled tenure of Steve Nash with the Lakers has taken another bad twist. After spending much of the off-season rehabbing an ailing back, it all seems for naught as Nash will again miss time with a nerve injury in his back.

 

 

Recovery from the injury will include Nash receiving an epidural block, which he received multiple times last season with no success.

 

 

Nash will be re-evaluated in 10 days and either Nash will be cleared to play or a new timetable will be released. In the meantime, Mike D’Antoni said he’d stick with the backcourt of Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks.

    Nash wasn’t rehabbing an ailing back all summer. Maybe I’m splitting hairs, but this has been a nerve problem all along not a back problem. It was caused by the broken leg and isn’t related to his chronic back issue.
