Jordan Farmar out four weeks with torn hamstring

Last night, Jordan Farmar exited the Lakers game against Portland less than a minute after entering, hobbling off the court and into the locker room. An ultra sound today revealed the severity of the injury…

Farmar said he’d been battling a sore hamstring, but did not want to sit out. However, lesson be learned, as Farmar now will be forced to sit for up to four weeks to properly rehab this injury.

This injury now leaves the Lakers with just one point guard, Steve Blake. While Steve Nash will be returning to practice this week, he’s yet to show anything resembling dependability this year. On top of that, he hasn’t played the second night of a back-to-back this season. All signs point to the Lakers reaching out and signing some free agent.
