Kobe Compliments Obama’s Game

Kobe Bryant said something to the media that could be easily misinterpreted.

"Bryant also gave Obama another compliment — sort of — when Patrick asked if Obama could make his team, the Lakers. “Yes,” said Bryant, who said he was driving down the 405 freeway in Los Angeles and would otherwise be listening to “Magna Carta” by Jay-Z. “It’s more of a sign of respect of the skill that the president possesses.” – Washington Post"

For someone who has been out of basketball for awhile, he still finds a way to find similarities between Obama’s basketball skill-set and Tiny Archibald.  Let’s just hope that Laker fans do not misinterpret this quote as a shot against the Laker squad, but rather, a joking compliment to the President’s skill set.

Still, you can bet that Bryant would be happy to add any player to the Laker roster that’ll lead championship hopes in 2014, even if it is the President of the United States.

Too bad those championship aspirations aren’t coming from the new President of the New York Knicks.

After all, if you want respect from Bryant, you need to work hard.  Above, that you need to win games.  No one in the NBA coaching fraternity is more proven than Phil Jackson.  Who on the current roster can say they win games for the Los Angeles Lakers?
