The disgraced and soon to be ex-owner of the Los Angeles Clippers has filed a $1 billion dollar lawsuit against the NBA for damages after his wife, Shelley Sterling, agreed to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Here is what Sterling’s attorney, Max Blecher, told ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne:

“The [termination] charges in the lawsuit are an invasion of his constitutional rights, violation of anti-trust laws, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.”

Blecher was also quoted as saying the lawsuit has nothing to do with the sale of the Clippers, but Sterling is still considering taking further legal action against his wife.

There is no surprise that Donald Sterling is doing everything and anything he can in order to profit considerably in some way after the initial racist comments surfaced. What makes the situation even more curious is the fact Donald Sterling has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s after being evaluated by a neurologist.

No matter his mental state, it is clear Donald Sterling is not content with stepping away from the spotlight and will drag this out until the bitter end.
