Pau Gasol Turns Down Lakers Multi-Year Deal

Jeremy Lin, Nick Young, and Jordan Hill all have been signed within the past three hours.  Where does that leave Pau Gasol?

The Lakers offered Pau a lucrative offer at $10 million per year.

It wasn’t enough.

It looks like Pau Gasol is moving on.  He has been the ultimate professional while he was in L.A. and an integral part of the past two championships.

Wherever Pau Gasol decides to go, I hope it’s a winning team.  It’s possible he may want to find a way to “go home” to the New York Knicks.  It would be a nice reunion to have Gasol back with Phil Jackson, Derek Fisher, and Kurt Rambis within the triangle offense.

You can bet Phil Jackson would love to have Gasol on his team as well.
