Game Grades: Lakers Bring Back Swaggy, Get Victory

MVP: Everyone on the Lakers. Seriously, everyone made big plays tonight. Even Wesley Johnson. Every Laker who played scored, the boneheaded plays both offensively and defensively were eliminated. Add in a little bit of Swaggy and the Lakers have themselves their first road win of the year. It’s not a coincidence.

LVP: I won’t even give this award out tonight. That’s how different this team looked compared to the loss against Golden State on Sunday. (But if I were, it’d go to Johnson and/or Ronnie Price).

Stat of the Night: 54%. The Lakers shooting percentage from the field. Take out Price and Johnson’s shooting (our unofficial LVPs) and that shoots up to 58.4%. Even Kobe Bryant, the king of chucking, shot an efficient 10 of 18 tonight. Seriously impressive performance offensively and defensively tonight from LA.
