Here is 24 minutes worth of footage showing exactly why the Los Angeles Lakers should hope that Brandon Ingram falls into their laps come Draft Day

We recently did a full breakdown of why the Purple and Gold should be keeping their fingers crossed that the Philadelphia 76ers end up taking Ben Simmons, hence leaving Brandon Ingram primed for the taking.

But if you weren’t sold then, use this video as further convincing of Ingram’s pending dominance in the Association.

From his very first game with the Duke Blue Devils, Ingram showed his silky smooth shooting stroke from mid-range dropping 15 easy points in a victory against the Siena Saints. However, to start the season, he struggled from the three point line shooting just 6-of-25 in his first seven contests.

It wasn’t actually until December that the 6’10 forward started shooting and more so, hitting threes on a regular basis en route to his 41 percent shooting clip from beyond the arc on the season.

When debating between Simmons and Ingram, the argument is often made that the only thing that the latter does better than the former is shoot the ball, a skill set that they believe can be developed over time. While the fact that Ingram is a superior shooter is undeniable, it must be pointed out that currently Ingram is also the better, more willing defender.

While this could be on account of Simmons’ Blake Griffin-esque wingspan, (okay, it’s not that bad) which thoroughly hinders his ability to block shots and get his arms in the passing lane, effort reigns supreme on the defensive end, and you can’t knock Ingram’s hustle.
