Retired Lakers’ guard, Kobe Bryant is back in the news again, this time dining with action superstar, Jackie Chan in China

Recently retired Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been busy since playing his last game on April 13. He’s appeared in a commercial for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, held a basketball camp in Manila and will give a keynote speech at the inaugural Sports Entertainment Industry Summit on July 14.

But that’s not all he’s been up to. Bryant recently posted a picture on Instagram of him having dinner with a high-profile celebrity. No, it wasn’t LeBron James or Kevin Durant. It was none other than actor Jackie Chan, most famous for his role in the Rush Hour franchise.

What could they have been talking about?

A potential movie role for Bryant? Perhaps a collaboration between the two in which Bryant does something behind the camera of a Chan movie? We do know Bryant is very interested in storytelling as the next chapter in his already illustrious career.

Or maybe they have just known each other for a few years and decided to catch up while they were both in Beijing. Who knows what the real reason was, but it’s fun to imagine. How many actors does Bryant dine with on a nightly basis?

It’s interesting to see Bryant enjoying his retirement in ways only Bryant knows how. He’s clearly not being lazy and is actively pursuing his post-playing career endeavors. He has already been seen working out with draft prospects and the Lakers could use Bryant to work out with No. 2 pick Brandon Ingram as well.

Although Bryant’s playing days are over, his time in the public spotlight isn’t just yet. I wonder what his next celebrity Instagram post will be.
