I’m not a lawyer. I just insult them. Nor am I at all totally in the loop for the on going Power Balance Debacle. But I know a crap product when I see one.n
How Lamar Odom, among others, could be led to believe that they were investing in a sound business with a quality product such as Power Balance is beyond me. Decisions like those make the Kardashians look like the Trumps when it comes to business.
However the fallout from the now bankrupt and soon to be defunct Power Balance isn’t limited to those that invested in the company but also those that were endorses even if it was inadvertent.
Kobe Bryant is not listed among those paid to promote the piss-poor product. However he is listed as a creditor in a court filing and is supposedly owed $400,000. On occasion Bryant was sporting the sham bracelet during games. Apparently all that free promotion wasn’t exactly on the love or gratis as they say.
Considering Odom, who put cash into the company, is only due $20,000 it says a lot about how much the people representing Bryant feels he is owed.
It also says a lot about athletes and other people that they would invest their time and money in an unproven commodity. Even Power Balance themselves admitted there are no studies that prove their product does anything more than make you look like a douche for wearing it.
