Behold! The 2011-12 schedule for the Los Angeles Lakers!
You can start making your plans now…
As you might expect the NBA has slated the Lakers for a healthy 25 appearances on national TV. Quick math tells you nearly 40% of their regular season games will be seen by the nation. Of course all that celebrity will come at a cost as the Lake Show, like every other team this season, will be scrambling to play out the 66-game schedule in a compressed time frame.
Some of the more notable dates include Dallas coming to L.A. on January 16th. That will mark the first meeting between the two teams since we last saw a shirtless Andrew Bynum storming off the court in Dallas. Shorty after the Lakers will take their talents down to South Beach to face the Miami Hype Machine on January 19th.
As usual, the Lakers hit the road to make way for the Grammys in early February. They’ll make six stops in 11 days by starting out in Denver and ending in Toronto. The Lakers will rack up the frequent flyer miles that month as they only have 4 home dates for the 13 games they’ll play.
In March Miami will come to Staples for a Sunday matinee on ABC with the regular season ending in Sacramento on April 26th.
In short – get your popcorn ready!
