Say whatever you will of Kobe Bryant. Depending on what side of the fence you’re on he’s either tough or stubborn. Determined or selfish. Brave or ignorant.
Whatever your stance you have to agree on one thing…Kobe is a gamer if there ever was one.
Bryant hates to disappoint. He knows what it means to be a Laker and what Christmas Day means to the NBA as well. That is why it’s no real surprise that Kobe was a full participant in practice one day ahead of the opener against Chicago.
Typical Bryant he continues to shrug off questions of his wrist injury, citing past hand injuries he’s played through. Then he goes out and proves it in practice or at least that is what the rest of the team is saying on the record. KB24 didn’t do any drills for the media so the outside world has yet to know how affected he is buy the ligament damage in his shooting hand.
What else would you expect though?
This is the Lake Show.
This is drama before the curtain has even gone up.
Somehow, you feel David Stern masterminded this entire process. From the length of the lockout right down to Kobe’s wrist injury which came via the team that robbed the Lakers of Chris Paul…coincidence? I think not…
