It’s either a sure sign of the Mayan Apocalypse or it’s Kobe Bryant finally giving in to father time. Bryant is not going to play against the Phoenix Suns tonight due to the sore shin he’s been dealing with.
Normally you’d think it would take a life threatening injury to keep Kobe out of action. Hopefully that’s not what we’re dealing with here. That would seem unlikely given how many minutes Kobe played just last night not to mention how many games he’s played since the issue first developed a week ago.
I’m guessing this is just a case of Kobe giving his body some rest. The Lake Show is in a hectic stretch of games and there is no time for recovery.
Early word is that Devin Ebanks will be starting. Yeah, obviously there is no chance he’ll compensate for the loss of the league’s leading scorer. Here is where we’ll see if Andrew Bynum is ready to step up.
