Metta World Peace Gets 7 Game Suspension

We finally have a conclusion to elbow-gate…at least there’s an immediate resolution. In the short term the Lakers will be without the services of Metta World Peace for the next seven games starting with the preseason finale on Thursday. The rest of the suspension will be served in the playoffs.

Now the long term outlook on this whole ordeal is still unknown. Will this be the last we see of World Peace or Artest in a Laker jersey? Only time will tell.

What is known is that the Lakers are now shorthanded at their least productive position at the worst possible time of the year. Not exactly the way you want enter the playoffs.

Metta’s now infamous elbow will be talked about for sometime now. For all we know it could be the moment that turned the tide of the Western Conference. James Harden is now dealing with concussion protocol. The Lakers have mounting questions without immediate answers. Meanwhile the Spurs are rolling along.

The final words have yet to be written in this chapter of the World Peace book but it’s looking like he won’t have many more pages to fill if these antics continue.
