Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol Out Indefinitely

The nightmare that is this season for the Los Angeles Lakers is getting worse by the hour it seems. Today the team announced that both Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol will be out indefinitely as the Lakers’ twin towers deal with health issues.
During last night’s loss to the Nuggets, L.A.’s third straight L mind you, Howard suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He’ll be re-examined later this week to determine the damage done by the second such incident Howard has endured to same shoulder. D12 first aggravated his right shoulder during last Friday’s loss to the rival Los Angeles Clippers.
Gasol got a bloody nose and a concussion to boot last night when JaVale McGee accidentally popped the Spaniard in the face. Gasol will not travel with the team for the upcoming road swing and will be held out of action until he is symptom free.
The bright light in this other wise dark tunnel is that at least Mike D’Antoni won’t have to worry about a couple of All-Star big men ruining his guard-oriented offense.
