Dwight Howard Dominant In Sacramento

Where has this Dwight Howard been? The one we’ve seen most of this season has looked nothing like the one that once dominated in Orlando. Last night the Lakers rousing 103-98 win over the Sacramento Kings it was Howard who put the purple and gold on his back willing the team to victory.
D12 was the dominant presence in the paint this team has been lacking. He scored the rock by using some devastation low post moves in regular abuse of DeMarcus Cousins. Howard owned the boards with 15 rebounds and he swatted 5 shots while altering countless others.
Without question Howard’s health has been a big reason why his performance hasn’t always matched expectations. His sulking nature didn’t help matters either. None the less something has clicked for Howard in recent weeks as the ways of one Kobe Bryant are finally rubbing off.
While a win over the NorCal rival Kings is always celebrated its nothing to brag about. Yes, it was a quality win highlighted by a stellar defensive effort anchored by Howard. But being that the Lakers find themselves fighting for their playoff lives every game is a must-win at this point.
However if Howard has truly hit his stride there is no reason to doubt Kobe’s guarantee of this team making the playoffs.
