With Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash sidelined, the Lakers have decided to shore up a thinning backcourt with the addition of second-year point guard Andrew Goudelock.
Goudelock, 24, was selected 46th overall by the Lakers in 2011 and averaged 4.4 points for them last season.
Most recently he spent time playing in the NBA developmental league where he averaged 21.1 points and 5.2 assists.
Although he did not see playing time Sunday night against the Spurs, he was suited up and courtside. Should Nash not be available by Wednesday, it’s likely that Goudelock could see playing time as a combo guard.
