Here we go again. According to a source close to Chris Broussard, the Lakers chances of retaining Dwight Howard are “unlikely.”
Sources: Dwight Howard unlikely to re-sign with the Lakers. Dallas and Houston the favorites. Main issue w/Lakers is Mike D'Antoni's system

Hearing strong that Lakers have little chance. Can't write them off completely, tho, because of D12's notorious indecisiveness.

Howard’s displeasure with Mike D’Antoni isn’t a new topic. Even during the season, Howard was not a fan of D’Antoni’s play calling and his coaching style. Despite this, the Lakers finished the season 30-16 and clinched the 7th spot in the playoffs, despite a slew of injuries.
The Lakers have begun pulling out all the stops for Howard as they put up a banner pleading Howard to stay. The banner was met with mixed emotions by the fans, some saying the Lakers shouldn’t beg for players, others saying do what it takes.
What we do know is that this Howard saga is far from over.
