The Lakers continued their search for role players into early Monday, where it was reported that they reached out to Byron Mullens, former Bobcats forward
Mullens emerged as a bit of a stretch four option last season, going 66 for 208 from deep, good enough for 31.7%. The Lakers have made it clear that they are looking for any and all players who can shoot, which was a major flaw in their bench last season. However, given that the Lakers only have the mini mid-level exception, they’ll have to convince some players to take the minimum salary to join.
