Earl Clark, who had a big breakout season with the Lakers last year, has agreed to a deal with the Cavaliers.

With the Lakers, Clark averaged 7.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and shot 44% from the field in 59 games with the Lakers. His production will be sorely missed on a Lakers team that had limited bench production already.
Clark, who will be entering his fifth season, was likely looking for a multi-year deal, which the Lakers were hesitant to offer in order to maintain the biggest cap flexibility possible next summer.

For Clark, a congratulations is in order. After three long years of disappointments, he shone bright in his opportunity last year and cashed in on it this summer. Despite slumping hard to end the season, Clark’s $9 million pay day is well earned.
