UPDATED: Lakers Summer League Roster, Schedule

With a depleted roster lacking much athleticism or youthfulness, the Lakers may look to the Summer League as more of a recruiting tool than in recent years. Judging by the talent on their D-League roster, they seem to have understood the importance of the situation. While not official until later today, some names have been released via Twitter and other outlets, giving us this team so far.

Game 1 – Friday, July 12 – Lakers vs. Cavaliers – 8 PM
Game 2 – Sunday, July 14 – Lakers vs. Blazers – 6:30 PM
Game 3 – Monday, July 15 – Lakers vs. Clippers – 8 PM

Following these three games, there will be a tournament format based on scoring during the games, seeding the 22 teams competing in order based on their record. The tournament will be played from Wednesday, July 17 through Monday, July 22. We’ll break down some of the players in the forthcoming days to give you an idea of who has a shot to make the Lakers roster this fall.
