According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers have come agreed to a deal with Marcus Landry. Landry, the brother of Carl, was a key contributor to the Lakers Summer League team.
Even though Landry agreed to a deal, this does not mean he is on the Lakers roster. As Ramona’s tweet said, it is a camp invite. However, Landry is one of three players who has a chance to make the last roster spot, along with Chris Douglas-Roberts and Shawne Williams — Lamar Odom has an outside chance, but is unlikely to get a deal.
Landry is a knockdown three point shooter, who can play either small forward, or play a stretch-four role in Mike D’Antoni’s system. If the Lakers were to sign the sharpshooter, they would be sticking to the theme of adding youth to their roster this off-season.
