With the new, harsher penalties for teams over the luxury tax line under the new collective bargaining agreement, it’s hard to imagine that all of the Heat’s Big 3 return to South Beach next summer. By process of elimination, Bosh seems like the odd man out. Dwyane Wade will likely finish his career in Miami, considering he’s been the face of the franchise for almost a decade now. There’s no way the Heat let the best player in the world in LeBron James walk away, or at least they SHOULDN’T. That leaves Bosh, who should rightfully be looking for a max deal.
Bosh would fit perfectly with the Lakers up-tempo offense as he has the ability to guard bigger centers while also have the capability of knocking down outside jumpers, extending all the way to the free throw line. Paired with Pau Gasol, these two could make a unique (but physically unimposing) front line, something few teams have every seen before. While our #1 and #2 options are clearly a step above everyone else, Bosh would not be a bad consolation prize.
