ESPN’s annual #NBArank is working it’s way to number one. En route, we’ve seen many a Laker included in the list. Today, Lakers nation were up in arms about the ranking of their treasured Kobe Bryant.

As noted in the post, Bryant ranked top 10 in each of the last two rankings, which take course of the preseason leading up to the tip-off the NBA schedule.

Bryant posted a 27.3 point per game average last year while adding 5.6 rebounds and career high-tying 6.0 assists per game. His 57.0% true shooting percentages was his 3rd best ever and his efficient field goal percentage of 50.4% is high career best. But Bryant’s season ending Achilles injury sticks out like a sore thumb as the cause for such a low ranking.

Knowing the Black Mamba, he’ll certainly find this as added motivation to those doubting him already.
