When Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant was listed as #25 in ESPN’s #NBArank project, Lakers Nation as well as NBA players and media alike were left shocked. While Bryant is coming off a serious Achilles injury, he did just have one of the best years of his career, carrying the Lakers to the playoffs. While ESPN’s NBA writers released their own reactions, many took to Twitter to express their shock.

I'm still putting Kobe Bryant in my Top 10 if he's healthy. No lower than Top 15. No. 25 is way off.

For #NBArank I personally reserve a 10 rating for the top 3-5 players in the NBA. I gave Kobe 10s before, but 9 this year accounting injury
