The injury-riddled tenure of Steve Nash with the Lakers has taken another bad twist. After spending much of the off-season rehabbing an ailing back, it all seems for naught as Nash will again miss time with a nerve injury in his back.
Injury Update: Steve Nash has been diagnosed with having nerve root irritation. He is expected to be out of action a minimum of 2 weeks.

Recovery from the injury will include Nash receiving an epidural block, which he received multiple times last season with no success.
Nash will be given an epidural block, the same procedure he underwent 3 times in the playoffs to no avail.

Nash will be re-evaluated in 10 days and either Nash will be cleared to play or a new timetable will be released. In the meantime, Mike D’Antoni said he’d stick with the backcourt of Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks.
