The Scouting Report: Future Lakers To Watch Out For

1 of 7

While it’s early in the season, I am one of the staff writers that is not expecting the Lakers to be a .500 team.  It’s not because of a lack of fanship, but rather I recognize the regular season as a marathon with stiff competition.  The level of play for a team fluctuates throughout the year, especially with new faces.  Injuries are a question mark for the Laker team.  So, while I don’t expect a playoff berth for the Lakers, I always look for great draft prospects, whether the Lakers have a great pick or not.  On Tuesday night, basketball fans were blessed with a slate of games featuring talented teams, players, and coaches. The NCAA games observed include Kentucky vs. Michigan State, and Duke vs. Kansas.  Some lottery names to keep track of?  How about Julius Randle, James Young, Wayne Selden Jr., Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, and Joel Embiid?  Here are some notes about how each player played early in the season against elite level competition.
