Kobe Bryant: “If there were a playoff game tonight, I’d play”
By Jacob Rude
While Kobe Bryant’s rehab from his Achilles injury has been a very public affair, his timetable for a return is far from it. He’s kept fans in the dark since being given the all-clear, offering nothing more than a vague schedule of three weeks of rehab before he’d return. While this is the end of the third week since Bryant’s declaration, little more is known now than was known then.
However, in a sit-down interview with former Laker Rick Fox, Bryant was a little more candid about his return, going as far to say he’d play if tonight were a playoff game, beautiful music to Lakers’ fans ears.
With the Lakers having four days off next week, Bryant could be back next week. Again, just like everyone else, this is simply pure speculation. What we do know is Bryant is very close. Just a few more days, Lakers fans.
