After practicing three times in a handful of days, Kobe Bryant sat out Thursday’s session with tightness in his Achilles. But breathe easy, Lakers fans, as this is not seen as a setback, but an expected occurrence.
* @kobebryant did not practice today due to some soreness in the Achilles area, but that shouldn’t be viewed as a setback. It’s expected.

Bryant is battling back from the Achilles injury that sidelined him for seven months. After returning to practice Friday and participating in this week’s workouts, Bryant’s absence from Thursday does not have the Lakers worried.
Another veteran Laker battling injuries had his status updated. Mike D’Antoni told reporters that Steve Nash still was 10 days away from returning.

Nash is battling a slew of injuries, most notably the pinched nerve in his back. Nash had a spinal epidural earlier this month and is recovering slowly.
The plan right now for @SteveNash is to go to Vancouver next week while the team is on the Eastern trip to work with his own therapist.

I asked D'Antoni is Nash's progress is promising. He didn't say yes. Said we'll just have to wait and see.

Lastly, big man Chris Kaman sat out practice with a sore back. His status is more positive, as it’s just a day-to-day injury.
