An all-too-familiar sense is growing with the Lakers: injuries are ruining a season. Add Steve Blake’s name to the list of not only injured Lakers, but injured Laker point guards.
Specifically, Blake was diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He is expected to be out a minimum of six weeks.
With Steve Nash no one near returning from his back injury and Jordan Farmar still out with a torn hamstring, the Lakers point guard depth chart is non-existent. It’s likely Kobe Bryant plays significant minutes tomorrow night in Oklahoma City, with Xavier Henry, Nick Young, and Jodie Meeks seeing more minute. It is also very likely the Lakers sign a free agent in the coming days.
