With all the injuries the Lakers have faced this year, the impending returns will have an equal effect on the season. Recently, both Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash targeted dates for their returns, slated for late January. With equal amounts of haziness surrounding Xavier Henry’s status, there was a little bit of clarity from Sunday’s practice report.
Henry was playing de facto point guard for the Lakers during their biggest injury woes. His return, given his effectiveness and improved play this season, will certainly boost the Lakers, who need a shot in the arm. With 10 losses in their last 11 games, the Lakers are very near a lost season, battling more for draft position than playoff position.
The Lakers take on Cleveland Tuesday evening.
