Much like how 2013 is an unknown, 2014 is even more of an unknown. Players like Rajon Rondo or Kevin Love COULD be free agents. However, they are also in situations where they could be dealt away from their teams and Los Angeles won’t have a say in it either way.
In 2013, you’ll have a large crop of free agents and a large payroll to fill. It’s still the perfect storm, which the Lakers will not have again. With a large amount of unrestricted and restricted free agents, the Lakers could rebuild their roster by any means necessary, and they should not attempt to wait another year and risk missing out on everything altogether.
