There was much cloudiness surrounding the extent and timetable of Xavier Henry’s injury when he first when down. Without an original timetable, Lakers fans and staff alike weren’t sure when to expect Henry back. What we do know, now, is that it’ll be at least another month.
Henry will have his knee drained and receive a cortisone shot. The injury first occurred in late December, the 29th to be exact, and Henry has been anything but close to a return since.
The 6 foot 6 inch swingman was having a career year by all statistical measures and was one of the few bright spots in an injury-riddled season. As is, Henry sits among Jordan Farmar, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Jodie Meeks, and Nick Young as Lakers likely to return after the All-Star break.
