According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Lakers could possibly decide to pursue Cleveland Cavaliers small forward Luol Deng before the end of the trade window. Following his move to Cleveland from Chicago last month, Deng has gone public regarding his unhappiness with the management at the team and he could be ready to make a further swap in the coming day.

As the Cavs are uncertain whether or not he will re-sign with them in the forth coming free agency market, they may decide to hedge their losses and seek to ship him away within the next 36 hours

The British All-Star has been a long-term target for the Lakers front office and it has been suggested that Deng could have arrived in LA this summer when his contract expires.

It is unsure what a deal for Deng would encompass although it is important to remember that due to league rules, the Lakers may not send away their first round draft pick for this year due to their 2015 pick already being with the Phoenix Suns.
