Noah Vonleh vs. Aaron Gordon: NBA Draft Prospect Match-up
By Jacob Rude
Cons
Gordon – For Gordon, the cons rely on his unpolished offensive game. Much like Griffin in his early years, Gordon is going to be known as a high-flyer and little more. His post game has moments, but is far from a finished product. His footwork isn’t ideal. Despite his athleticism, he isn’t a great rebounder. While he knows how to use his body, that still doesn’t change the fact that he’s still not strong and will get banged around by bigger, stronger NBA defenders. As a tweener, he doesn’t have a good jump shot or good form, which could be an issue in the future.
Vonleh – As stated when talking about his pros, Vonleh is still unpolished. Even with his development on the season, the only real post weapons Vonleh has is a jump hook. Defensively, the same problems exist, as he has the tools but not the skill set to be a top defender. Vonleh will certainly be a project, but his high motor willingness to learn will certainly make him intriguing.
