What is Noah Vonleh’s talent or identity on the floor?

Noah Vonleh is known for having two NBA-level skills.  He has excellent consistency from 20′ range, and he’s an excellent rebounder.  He has a guard-like touch that can be expanded out to the 3-point line, and he’s able to use that shot in pick-and-pop situations, catch-and-shoot situations, and even a few times off-the-dribble.  Rebounding is a more pronounced talent for Vonleh.  He has an excellent 7’4″+ wingspan and at 247lbs. with solid leaping ability and motor, he outhustles and outreaches other players for rebounds.

On the offensive end, he struggles with footwork in the painted area.  Creating more advanced shots in the block is an opportunity.  He has tunnel-vision when receiving the basketball.  His assist-to-turnover ratio is 0.29, which is poor.  It is a reflection of his basketball IQ, court awareness, decision-making, and feel for the game.  Too often, he received the ball in the painted area, and went to work to create a shot.  His footwork would often lead him right into the defender.  His ball-handling isn’t tight enough to attack through traffic. During his high school years, he was leaner, but did a better job attacking the basket in face-up situations and getting by his defender to create a high percentage shot.
