Twitter is quite the place to be during any sporting event, and an event like the NBA Draft offers a chance to provide instant analysis. Moments after the pick was announced via Ramona Shelburne, Twitter erupted with reactions and their thoughts. Take a look down below!
The #Lakers got a complete stud in Julius Randle. Top 5 talent. Should kill with NBA spacing. Has more than he showed at Kentucky.

Julius Randle is the Lakers' new power forward. Double-double machine at Kentucky reminiscent of Zach Randolph.

A blue collar player in a red carpet town. Welcome to LA, Julius. We got beaches.

You can build an offense around Julius Randle. The question is if that team is a playoff team or lottery team.

If Julius Randle stays healthy, he'll be better than Wiggins, at least as good as Jabari if not better. Very good pick for rebuilding Lakers

Thanking God for today. Thank you to my family, friends, & fans for supporting me on this journey. Honored to be a LAKER! #LakerNation

Randle is a big man who is a Zach Randloph model in the post. With a bully-ball style, it’s almost a guarantee that he’ll have Kobe Bryant as a fan. The Lakers night may yet be over as they sought other first round picks in the past, but with extremely limited assets, it’ll be surprising to say the least if the Lakers find themselves back in the draft.
The best story to come from Randle, and one that will make Lakers fans happy, is that he skipped a workout with the Celtics for an interview with GQ magazine. The Kentucky product excelled in his workout with the Lakers and persuaded Lakers brass enough that he was worth the possible risk surrounding his foot.
