Let’s be honest, this off-season didn’t go as most of us had hoped. We dreamt big, hoping for LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony (or if you really, really dreamt big, BOTH). We were happy to accept Lance Stephenson, Eric Bledsoe, and Greg Monroe as consolation prizes. What we got was four more years of Swaggy, Jeremy Lin, and overpaying Jordan Hill.
However, the Lakers are at a crossroads. Clearly, this season won’t be great for the Lakers. What will be more important is maximizing the development of young players like Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and Ryan Kelly, among others.
With free agency wrapping up, the Lakers still have a handful of decisions to be made before the start of the season. We take at 5 key ones the Lakers still need to make.
