Top 5 Dunkers in the History of the Lakers (w/ video)
By Harry Burden
2. James Worthy
Joining Byron Scott on the list is another alumnus of the Showtime offence, James Worthy. Whilst you wouldn’t expect Worthy to pull off a 360 reverse windmill dunk every game, this trait actually played in his favour. Despite not being equipped with the most expressive repertoire of dunks in the league, Worthy’s aggressiveness at the rim grew to become one of the key features of his game. With his length carrying him over even some of the more resilient defenders in the league, Worthy’s supreme strength in movement, both on court and in the air, guarantees his place as one of the most consistent dunkers in the history of the Lakers franchise.
