Whilst the Summertime is a period of rest and relaxation for many, NBA players are not able to enjoy said luxury. As the sun glistens down on training camps across the country, plenty of professionals are carrying lingering questions with them to the floor. The Lakers roster of 2014-2015, despite bolstering in July, has plenty to prove to the team’s fanbase and to the rest of the league. This offseason has been no holiday for these individuals, they’ve got scores to settle.

Following the departures of Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar in the past six months, the one-spot was left looking seriously vacant at the beginning of the summer. With the post in dire need of depth, the Lakers front office moved swiftly to acquire Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets. Although Lin was the sole addition to the Point Guard crop in free agency, the emergence of Summer League sensation, Jordan Clarkson, gives the team a further option to explore in the backcourt.

Instead of having their feet up in September, these men have targets to chase, goals to achieve and doubters to prove wrong. Stolen straight from the walls of El Segundo, here are the offseason ‘to-do’ lists for your Los Angeles Lakers Point Guards.
