With the season quickly closing in and training camp even closer, many of the Lakers are beginning to migrate back toward Lakers facilities.
We’ve seen many videos of Lakers’ 5-on-5 scrimmages on their practice floor, but today the likes of Kobe Bryant joined in, and he apparently looked very good.
"KOBE Update: Bryant played in a number of 5-on-5 pickup games today, against some of his teammates. Source says Kobe looked “very good.”– Serena Winters"
On top of that, Renaldo Woolridge, who played on the Lakers summer league roster this year in Las Vegas, tweeted this just prior to Winters’ tweet of her own.
It certainly sounds like Bryant did in fact play with most of his teammates today. Most likely, he scrimmaged with the group of players who have spent their summer at the Laker facility, namely Robert Sacre, Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, and Ed Davis.
Considering all three of those were tagged in Woolridge’s tweet, it’s safe to assume the scrimmage took place in the Lakers’ facility, which means footage of it, which the Lakers have been posting to their Vine and Instagram accounts, might be made available today.
Bryant, as we know, is coming off an Achilles injury and, more recently, a fractured bone in his leg. The latter injury kept him out for the majority of last season, although whether he could have played at the end of the year is up for debate. Nevertheless, fans are eager to see how Bryant will bounce back after playing just six games last year.
Do you think we’ll see the old Kobe? Will it be a new and improved version? An older and worse one? Let us know down below!
