In an interview from the New York Post, Phil Jackson spoke about trying to fit Carmelo Anthony within the triangle offense. Â During the interview, he left a little blurb about Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
"Q: Is Kobe Bryant the model for Carmelo Anthony?A: No. No one can approach that. I don’t expect anybody to be able to model their behavior after that, although Kobe modeled his behavior a lot about Michael Jordan, but he went beyond Michael in his attitude towards training, and I know Mike would probably question me saying that, but he did. – Link to New York Post article found here.By Steve Serby, New York PostSeptember 24, 2014 | 4:40am"
Coming from Phil Jackson, that is a surprising quote. Â It seems that Phil Jackson has had time to reflect on his time as a Laker head coach. Â While he may not be in an ownership position with the Laker franchise, he does think fondly of Kobe Bryant.
Kobe Bryant is coming off of a serious injury, but there are good signs from this summer. Â Most of the Laker team is practicing at the facility in El Segundo. Â Kobe Bryant had some playing time there too.
Not today, but he apparently owned everybody yesterday. RT @BigBabyJonathan: is Kobe at the facility today practicing with the team?

FanSided came together to come out with a Top 50 NBA players list. Â Kobe Bryant was ranked as the #2 shooting guard, but fell from overall rankings.
None of us have seen Kobe Bryant play competitive basketball this summer. Â We look forward to seeing the fruits of his off-season training this upcoming year.
