Carlos Boozer still believes he has something left in tank

The Lakers admittedly did not expect to nab Carlos Boozer this summer. When Boozer was amnestied, they felt it was a mere formality when they submitted a bid on him. When they landed him, it created what they felt was a good problem with a logjam in the front court.

For others, they feel Boozer is washed up. Last season was statistically his worst since his rookie year, and he’s never been a good defender. Most assumed he had little left to contribute and were upset that the Lakers would crowd their front court, and more importantly Julius Randle’s possible development, with Boozer.

At media day, Boozer talked to ESPN710 and made it known he still can play.

"People think I got nothing left in the tank, but I got a full tank in my tank, and I’m looking forward to proving that."

Consider this our first #Boozerism. As confusing as it may have sounded, Boozer is certainly still confident in his talents.

Like many other Lakers, Boozer also felt that this group of players can band together and be competitive, certainly exceed the expectations most have set for them.

"If we stay healthy, we can surprise some people."

Do you believe in Boozer’s sentiment? Can he still contribute? Will this team surprise people? Let us know down below!
