After missing just over a week of action, Jordan Clarkson will return to play against the Portland Trailblazers tonight.
Clarkson last played against the Warriors on October 9, exiting the game after 12 minutes played. The Lakers likely slowly brought him along to avoid aggravating the injury. This news come at a great time though as Kobe Bryant will sit out the final two preseason games, likely opening up minutes for the rookie.
The Missouri product has quickly become a fan favorite after the Lakers drafted him in the second round this spring. After an impressive Summer League performance, fans were eager to see how he would adapt to the team, but those desires were cut short with the injury. However, with two preseason games and a load of minutes coming his way, Clarkson will see his fair share of minutes to impress.
In his limited action, Clarkson has averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds, but shooting just 25% thanks to some rough shooting nights to start the season, but considering it was in just two games this preseason, those can be taken with a grain of salt.
