2. Jeremy Lin is a bonafide starter

Maybe it’s something everyone should have known sooner, but Lin looked like a true starting point guard for the Lakers tonight. After years of watching Nash, Steve Blake, and Kendall Marshall trot around, it’s refreshing to see a player like Lin lead the Lakers on the court.

Even prior to Price’s injury, it sounded like Byron Scott may have been heavily considering starting Lin. After tonight, there’s no way he can’t start him. He fed teammates at the right time, he got to the rim, he knocked down shots. The only knock on him was his missed free throw late in the fourth, which eventually cost the Lakers the game. However, to be fair Kobe Bryant would have the ball more often than not in that scenario.

What has Lakers fans most excited is Lin is a young player who seems to feel at home in LA, and with the Lakers in desperate need of future building blocks for the franchise, Lin could be one of those guys.
