Wesley Johnson

There was some hype about Wesley Johnson leading into the upcoming season.  He had been working out with Kobe Bryant since last April.  Coach Scott and Kobe Bryant want him to be more assertive on the offensive end, while establishing his presence on the defensive end.  Defensively, he has all of the tools, but hasn’t made it his identity.  His quickness, length, and wingspan make him a primary target for fast break points and cutting into passing lanes.  However, not much else can be said about forcing the opposition into bad shots and getting frustrated in the offensive end.  He has shown improvement with his mid-range jumpshot, but is yet to show signs of becoming a consistent double-digit scorer.
