For the second day in a row, the Lakers received good news on the injury front, this time with the surprise availability of Xavier Henry for tonight’s contest against Houston.
Pleasant surprise for the Lakers: despite missing the preseason, Xavier Henry is available to play tonight.

Henry did participate in any of the Lakers preseason games after back spasms and eventually heading to Germany for a knee procedure similar to what Kobe Bryant had done.
While his lack of playing time will likely result in a rusty performance tonight, something is better than nothing considering that the Lakers will be low on able bodies. Ryan Kelly is not expected to play at all this week….
Byron Scott doesn't believe Ryan Kelly will play at all this week. Still wants to get him in practice

…and Ronnie Price practiced today, but still remains questionable for tonight’s game.
Ronnie Price took part in shootaround and might play tonight as Lin's backup. Upgraded from doubtful to...questionable?

With Henry, the Lakers should have 10 players available tonight: Jeremy Lin, Kobe Bryant, Wes Johnson, Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, Jordan Clarkson, Ed Davis, Julius Randle, Henry, Robert Sacre, with Price a possible 11th player.
This isn’t an ideal start for a Lakers team with a brutal start to the schedule, hosting Houston tonight before traveling to Phoenix tomorrow and “hosting” the Clippers on Friday.
Nevertheless, this will be a resilient Lakers squad who will look to get the season off on the right foot tonight. Do you think the Lakers can pull off the upset tonight? Leave a comment below how!
